The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has released the administrative record and proposed remedial action plan to address the contamination associated with the Bishop Tube site located in East Whiteland Township. The DEP is planning to hold a Virtual Public Hearing scheduled for Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. Those who wish to present testimony must email RA-EP-SEROECB@pa.gov a minimum of 24 hours in advance to register. For additional hearing information visit the Virtual Public Hearing web page at www.dep.pa.gov under the Public Participation tab. East Whiteland Township plans to hold two public meetings with dates and times to be determined.
The DEP administrative record and remedial action plan are available online at www.dep.pa.gov/bishoptube with hard copies available at DEP's Southeast Regional Office located at 2 East Main Street, Norristown, PA 19401 and East Whiteland Township building located at 209 Conestoga Road, Frazer, PA 19355. Documents at EWT are available to view by appointment only, they may not be removed from our office and photocopies will not be available.
Written comments may be submitted to Dustin A. Armstrong at the DEP's Southeast Regional Office or by email at RA-EP-SEROECB@pa.gov. Public comment period is September 25, 2021 to January 3, 2022. Public comments are also welcome at EWT meetings and DEP's hearings.
