East Whiteland Township Police and Others Receive Award

Congratulations to Deputy District Attorney Erin O'Brien, Chester County Detectives, East Whiteland Township Detectives and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigation for being awarded a Multi-Unit Citation by the Citizens Crime Commission for dismantling a human sex trafficking organization in July 2020.

In a superb illustration of interagency effort, the investigation resulted in identifying and arresting three members of a sex trafficking organization, along with five individuals who paid the organization to engage in sexual acts with minor children and adults.

East Whiteland Township Police initiated the investigation and quickly determined the need for Federal and County assistance.  Detective Sergeant Patricia Doyle and the Detective Division worked closely with those agencies to locate the victims and perpetrators.  East Whiteland Police and all those involved are to be commended for a job well done!  Chief Yeager attended the event to receive the award.

Chester County is safer as a result of their hard work and dedication.
