Use of Parks and Facilities During Green Phase

Now that Chester County is in the Green Phase and Governor Wolf’s Stay-At-Home Order has expired, East Whiteland Township has updated the rules for the use of parks and facilities in the Township.  Based on the recommendations from the PA State Health Department, the CDC and PA Recreation and Park Society, please adhere to the following when visiting Township parks and facilities:

  • Playgrounds - open, social distancing required, not being sanitized by the Township
  • Tennis courts - open, social distancing required, avoid contact where possible
  • Basketball courts - open, maximum 30 people per court
  • Soccer field - open, must submit a COVID-19 compliance plan for league use, 90 people maximum
  • Baseball fields - same as soccer
  • Pavilions - open, social distancing required, not being sanitized by the Township
  • Restrooms - open, 1 person use at a time (except parent with child), being cleaned twice a week

The general rules that we all live by – wear a mask, wash your hands, and watch your distance – apply to the use of our parks and facilities. Organized and league use of any of the facilities requires a permit from the Township.
