Full Day camp at East Whiteland Township was a huge hit this summer. We spent 4 weeks starting June 24th-July 19th and campers attended from 8:30-3:30 each day.
There was a morning/afternoon snack and lunch all added to the new schedule, with parents providing all. Campers took many water breaks due to the heat and limited their time outside during the sports station and outside games station. A Volleyball net was purchased as a new activity brought into the sports station. Campers were thrilled learning newcomb and volleyball every Wednesday. Air Hockey was a usual hit once again as it’s own separate station this summer in the Tables/Bead station. Ping pong, foosball and iron on beads were also a part of that station.
Arts and Crafts were provided by many counselors each day and campers showed their creativity daily with their artwork.
Board Games was another station added to the full day schedule and every day there were Battleship, Stratego, Sorry, and Life competitions to name a few popular choices among campers. The usual Dance and Gym stations continued as they are always a huge hit. Our dance instructor choreographed 6 different dances for each of the groups and added her spice and creativity to the dances. The talent show was well received by parents mainly due to the amazing dances. Who doesn’t like to see their campers up on stage?
There were 23 counselors who joined our team this year and campers really grew attached to them. They kept the campers entertained with fun and exciting activities each day. We had 105 campers registered and 97-100 attended daily. The Most popular day was video truck day. Campers had a blast in the truck competing on the screens.
Field trips to grand slam, Pancott and Goldfish swim with police crossing us over route 30 for the Pancott/Goldfish swim day was also a huge highlight.
We hope to have an awesome time in 2020’s camp season. Please look for registration in early February.
